For more than 30 years we have embraced the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) on our shop floors. By objectively understanding the capabilities of our processes, we are able to focus on making improvements where they are needed and to quantify the effectiveness of our efforts. Along with ensuring dimensional conformance, benefits include the efficient allocation of Engineering resources and the ability of machine operators to effectively monitor tool wear which is especially valuable when machining nickel-based alloys. We have formal SPC training for all employees directly involved in manufacturing processes.
