G.S. Precision (GSP) headquartered in Brattleboro, demonstrated its commitment to continued education, training and growth within the G.S. Precision School of Manufacturing Technology by graduating its most recent class this afternoon amongst many visitors, family members, and coworkers. This beautiful afternoon was filled with Continuous Improvement presentations, diploma presentations, and lunch.

This afternoon culminated a two-year journey for these student/employees combining accredited college coursework, shop work rotations, and milling and lathe hands on practical exercises.

“Great Presentations! The work was meaningful and impactful for GS. I look forward to what all of our graduates will do in the future…”, says GSP’s President / CEO Matt O’Connell.

The G.S. Precision School of Manufacturing Technology was created by company founder George Schneeberer in 2013, partly out of necessity to cultivate a highly skilled workforce and partly out of a lifelong dream to create a school for his employees. That dream has been fully realized most recently with a major overhaul of the program’s facilities, instructors, equipment and tooling. Most notably, Vermont State Governor Phil Scott announced at a live press conference at the school the official national accreditation of an apprenticeship program.

“Apprenticeship schools within the confines of companies today is quite rare, especially up and down the Connecticut River Valley and something that a technically minded individual should strongly consider when making their future career path plans….” expounds GSP’s Lean and Continuous Improvement Lead Kurt Kwader who assists in overseeing the school.

G.S. Precision absorbs all the costs of the two-year program for individuals that qualify and will be starting a new class August of 2024. Interested applicants should seek an application or more information from Josh Levasseur at Joshua.Levasseur@gsprecision.com or
